Our tour of Sachsenhausen was outstanding and one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Berlin. Our guide, Artie, was absolutely fabulous. His knowledge, passion, and storytelling brought the history to life in a respectful and engaging way.
He made what is a confronting and emotional visit incredibly informative and thought-provoking, providing context that helped us better understand the events that took place there. Artie answered questions thoughtfully and ensured everyone remained engaged throughout the tour.
We learned so much and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Berlin. Thank you, Artie, for such a meaningful and unforgettable experience.

Gregor did a great job sharing knowledge of Sachsenhausen with care, subtlety, and gentleness. He shared his own perspective at times, but was always open to another perspective. He is a fine model of the many good guides I have experienced with Original Berlin Walks.

Sachsenhausen concentration camp tour

Not the best experience if I'm honest. We booked Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp Memorial Tour in Berlin, bought the the required train tickets for the 3 of us. Paid for an Uber to get us there on plenty of time . Only for our guide to be a NO show. The tour had been cancelled. Nobody contacted us to inform us . No refund had been offered. We had just been sacked off. Really poor behaviour from the company. Fortunately one of the guides from the walking tour around Berlin took pitty on us and invited us to join his group. Jonathan the tour guide was brilliant but our daughter is in a wheelchair and pushing her around berlin for 3 1/2 hours in some decent heat took it's toll on my back. And I had to go for a lay down. I would just like to emphasize that Jonathan the tour guide was very informative interesting and fun . But unfortunately that wasn't the tour we book for or was expecting to go on at the start of our trip.

Interesting and informative visit to the concentration camp

Chris was a good guide for our small group (10 on the day) visit to Sachsenhausen. It was interesting to learn more about the history, though it could perhaps have dealt a bit more with the Soviet/DDR era than just the Nazi era. A sobering view of what can happen with totalitarian regimes. Marked down for 'Fun factor' only because that is not what this tour is about. Good value (even better with the Berlin Welcome card discount).

Lewis was Amazing!

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Lewis. He was so full of knowledge. There were only four of us so it made for a truly one-on-one experience. I would definitely recommend this tour, albeit heartbreaking. Experiencing something like this makes you look at life in a whole different way. I highly recommend and don’t forget to ask for Lewis to be your guide!!!!

The tour was very informative.The guide (Anja) was knowledgeable about the topic and able to clarify the questions from the group. I recommend the tour.
Although the tour was about a sad part of the history, it was a goog experience with the tour.

Found the walking tour to Sachsenhausen extremely interesting and thought provoking. Chris was our guide for the tour / day and he provided excellent insights to the history and the day to day experiences of camp life for the people who were imprisoned there during the war. Very humbling. Every one should be reminded of how easy it is for history to repeat.

Anja’s Sachsenhausen small group tour

We were really pleased we had chosen a guided tour of Sachsenhausen. Ania was such a great guide. She was knowledgeable and handled what is a more challenging type of tour with the right balance of fact and sensitivity. She also thought about where to stop - in the shade and still convenient!
The group size was ideal as I could hear easily and ask questions.
Highly recommended.
